We are delighted to be holding the second annual CCCFF in the beautiful village of Waterville on the Ring of Kerry in the South West of Ireland. The festival includes a hugely entertaining range of events, screenings, workshops and Chaplin themed street entertainment and much, much more. Waterville extends a very warm welcome to you all. Our gala show will be a spectacular extravaganza this year with awards, mime, magic and singing being the order of the evening. We are delighted that the night will be compered by the inimitable Eileen Dunne from RTE. The night will kick off with a little show from Diego Spano who has been impersonating Chaplin for years. He has been entertaining people all over the world including London’s Covent Garden.

His fascination with Charlie Chaplin has drawn him to Waterville for the festival where he will be performing throughout the village over the four days and will also feature in the Gala awards show.

“I cannot tell you how impressed I was by Diego. Like a lot of people my age (50’s), I was brought up watching the short Charlie Chaplin films on TV. I honestly felt I was in the great man’s presence. His performance was incredible; playing the fool with motorists driving up and down the main road through Waterville – it had to be seen to be believed; his mannerisms were as if straight out of an old Charlie Chaplin film”. – J. Wesson

Kerry and the Tramp

In the small village of Waterville County Kerry there stands a statue of the silver screen legend Charlie Chaplin. It’s presence pays homage to a cinema superstar who made Waterville his regular holiday home in the 60’s and 70’s. This documentary tells the story of how the Little Tramp ended up in love with this Kerry retreat. More
